Organizations are like communities that come together for more actionable purposes. Whether it be financial, political, or cultural.
What does it take to build and run a successful organization in any sphere? It builds on many of the underlying concepts. On what glues communities together, how to maintain relationships, how individual operate, all based on evolutionary principles of what works.
One key element of organizations in particular is the concept of hierarchy and meritocracy, the most efficient and competent have more influence and vise versa. One thing to keep in mind with hierarchies though, especially when starting out, is that often egos and emotions get involved, no one likes feeling inferior in any way, its something that is embedded deeply in western culture and individualism.
